The Advisory Services of HJVS Consulting LLC

Six connected services cover the full arc of a systems programme, from the first strategy sketch to the long final stretch of delivery. Each can stand alone, and each is stronger when joined to the others. Every service is delivered from our practice at 920 W 1100 N, Pleasant Grove - 84062-8099, United States (US), and every enquiry can reach us on +16813034685.

A Programme Laid Out Tier by Tier

Read the tiers in order and the shape of a complete engagement becomes visible. Read them separately and each one answers a specific question a leadership team is likely to be asking right now.

Tier 1

Digital Strategy Roadmaps

A strategy roadmap is a promise about sequence. We begin by understanding what the organisation is trying to achieve commercially over the next two to three years, then test whether the current technology estate can support it. We interview sponsors, systems owners and frontline staff, review existing plans and past failures, and examine where money is already committed. The result is a written roadmap that orders work by dependency and value rather than by enthusiasm.

Each roadmap names owners, estimated cost bands, decision gates and the conditions under which the plan should be revisited. We also record what the organisation has consciously chosen not to do, because abandoned intentions are the most common source of later confusion. Roadmaps are delivered as a readable document and a one-page summary suitable for board papers. Follow-up sessions are offered so that the plan can be adjusted as delivery begins.

Tier 2

Systems Integration Advisory

Integration work determines whether a technology estate behaves as one instrument or as a collection of parts. We map the interfaces between core platforms, identify where data is duplicated or contradicted, and define the contracts that should govern each connection. This includes event schemas, reconciliation rules, retry behaviour and the ownership of failure. The output is a landscape view that both engineering and commercial teams can read.

Our advisors sit between internal teams and external suppliers, converting commercial promises into testable technical commitments. We attend design authority meetings, review interface specifications and help resolve the disagreements that delay delivery. Where an interface is genuinely unnecessary, we say so, because the cheapest integration is the one that never has to be built. The engagement closes with a documented integration standard that new suppliers must meet.

Tier 3

Cloud Readiness Assessments

A cloud migration is an operational change long before it is a technical one. Our assessment examines application dependencies, data gravity, latency tolerance, licensing exposure, network topology and the skills available to run the target environment. We score each workload for readiness and group blockers by severity, distinguishing between issues that must be solved before migration and those that can be managed afterwards.

Clients receive a migration order that respects real operational windows such as financial close, seasonal peaks and regulatory reporting. We also assess the run cost of the target state honestly, including the parts that suppliers tend to leave out of early estimates. The final report states plainly which workloads should remain where they are, because migration is not always the right answer. A follow-up review is included so that the first moves can be checked against the plan.

Data Governance Programmes

Data becomes an asset only when someone is accountable for it. We build governance programmes that name data owners and stewards, codify definitions, establish lineage and set review rhythms that survive staff turnover. Policy is written to be read rather than filed, and every control we propose has a named person responsible for operating it. We avoid governance theatre, where committees meet and nothing changes.

The programme includes escalation paths, quality measurement and a small set of indicators that show whether governance is improving the decisions the business makes. Training is provided for stewards and for the teams that produce data at source. We deliberately start with the two or three domains that carry the most commercial risk, then extend the model once it has proven itself. The result is a durable capability rather than a document that ages quietly on a shared drive.

Tier 5

Vendor Selection Support

Procurement is where good strategies quietly expire. We write requirement sets that separate genuine need from inherited preference, then build weighted evaluation models that reflect what the organisation actually values. Structured demonstrations are designed so that vendors address the same scenarios in the same order, which makes comparison honest and exposes claims that cannot be demonstrated. Reference checks are conducted with questions that reach beyond the prepared list.

We help negotiate commercial terms, exit provisions, service levels and change control. Where a market is concentrated or a supplier holds unusual leverage, we say so early rather than after the contract is signed. HJVS Consulting LLC accepts no vendor commissions, so our recommendation never depends on which supplier is chosen. The client keeps full control of the decision throughout and receives a written evaluation record that supports it.

Managed Transformation Retainers

Transformation does not end at the kickoff meeting. Our retained service provides a standing advisory presence through the difficult middle of a programme: monthly steering input, architecture reviews, risk escalation and continuous re-planning as conditions change. Retainers are modest in scope so that our advice remains independent of any delivery revenue, and they are capped so that no single client consumes the practice.

Retained clients receive a named advisor, a monthly written review and direct access for time-sensitive questions. We track decisions made and decisions avoided, because drift is usually the accumulation of small deferrals. When a programme should be paused or stopped, we say so. Retainers are reviewed each quarter, and clients may end them with thirty days of notice, which keeps the relationship honest on both sides.

HJVS Consulting LLC Opens New Sessions Each Quarter

We limit the number of new engagements accepted so that senior attention is never diluted. If your programme is approaching a decision point, contacting our office early is the surest way to secure a seat at the advisory stage.

How the Services Fit Together

Services can be taken individually or arranged as one programme. When joined, they follow this sequence, and each stage produces one artefact and one decision before the next begins.

  1. Stage A

    Frame the Problem

A Digital Strategy Roadmap establishes what the organisation is trying to achieve and in what order. Everything that follows is judged against that frame.

  2. Stage B

    Understand the Estate

Systems Integration Advisory and Cloud Readiness Assessment map what exists, what connects to what, and where the real constraints sit.

  3. Stage C

    Put the Foundations In

A Data Governance Programme names ownership, defines meaning and sets the quality expectations that later work depends upon.

  4. Stage D

    Choose the Tools

Vendor Selection Support compares options against genuine need and secures commercial terms that remain fair over the full contract term.

  5. Stage E

    Stay the Course

A Managed Transformation Retainer keeps advisory presence through delivery, when drift is most likely and quiet decisions matter most.
